Nwokocha praises Ighalo

Odion Ighalo
Former Nigeria attacker, Christian Nwokocha, has said Watford forward, Odion Ighalo, has the potential to become the Super Eagles’ leading scorer.
The 26-year-old has been prolific for his English club scoring four goals in five appearances for them. He has scored two goals for the Eagles in four matches.

Ighalo has been invited by Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh for the friendly games against Congo and Cameroon in Belgium this month.
Nwokocha said, “Ighalo is a player who has a bright future in the national team,” he told our correspondent via email.
“He has been consistent for his club this year and I believe he can bring the form to the national team. He is capable of becoming the country’s most prolific scorer if he can sustain this tempo.
“In the few matches I have seen of him, he plays for the team rather than as an individual player. If he gets support from his teammates, he will help the team.”
The America-based former player added,   “The Eagles are under a rebuilding process and I believe Oliseh has invited the best players for the task ahead.”
